PUBLIC HEARING: Amendment of Chapter 15 Pertaining to Body Art Studios, and Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists

Tuesday, November 13

The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners, siting as the local Board of Health, will hold a Public Hearing to consider and receive comments on amendments to Chapter 15 of the Code of Public Laws of Calvert County. The proposed Ordinance will amend local provisions regarding the safe and sanitary operation of Body Art Studios, and Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists by: amending the autoclave requirements to meet manufacturers’ standards; and authorizing suspension of licenses in certain circumstances. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for review at the Office of the BOCC Clerk, or through the Calvert County Health Department website at http://www.calverthealth.org. The proposed provisions may be substantively modified, revised, amended or otherwise changed based upon comments received at the public hearing.
