Overview

This Calvert County Parks & Recreation seasonal outdoor facility is located in beautiful Cove Point Park and includes a partially shaded children’s wading pool, a leisure pool with various water slides and water features, and a 25-meter, eight-lane dive well with half-meter and one-meter diving boards, shower rooms, sun bathing and shade areas, and a full-service concession stand. CPPP is home to the Parks & Recreation Cove Point Crocs Swim Team.

Concession Stand
The full-service concession stand offers a variety of menu choices including pizza, hot dogs, nachos, and more. Drinks, candy and an assortment of Good Humor ice cream are also available. 


Hours of Operation
The pool will open to the public beginning Saturday, May 24, 2014, through Monday, Sept. 1, 2014.
   
  • Monday through Friday, noon to 8 p.m. (open swim), beginning June 16th.
  • Saturday and Sunday, Noon to 8 p.m. (open swim)
       
Note:  Prior to June 16th and after Aug. 8th, hours and/or facility availability will vary depending on staff availability during school hours. Please call to inquire at 410-394-6248. The pool will close at 4 p.m. on June 24, July 1 and July15 for swim meets.
The pool does not open if the air temperature is below 70 degrees.

Note:  The entire facility will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday July 1 for a swim meet.

Price Information

Passes will go on sale starting May 5, 2014, at the main office of the Division of Parks and Recreation at 205 Main Street in Prince Frederick, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Southern Community Center, Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and at the Hall Aquatic Center during hours of operation.

**Children 12 and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 or older. Children 5 and under require pool supervision by a responsible person 16 or older.

CCPR Summer Pool Pass Discount Program
Cove Point Pool (CPPP) and Kings Landing Pool Summer pass holders will receive $1 off daily admission per pass holder to Hall Aquatic Center (HAC). HAC summer and annual pass holders will receive $1 off daily admission per pass holder to CPPP. (Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.)


Descriptions
  • Daily Admission - All patrons entering the facility must pay the daily admission rate regardless if they are swimming unless they are accompanying a participant in a parks and recreation program (i.e. swim lessons and swim team).
  • Household - Includes those who permanently reside at a residence or house, up to five people. Households do not include home day cares, baby sitters or any other places or business or group of people
  • Punch Pass - Valid for 20 admissions at HAC or 10 admissions at CPPP or KLP. Only valid at facility for which it is purchased. Expires one year from date of purchase or end of summer season at CPPP or KLP.
  • Summer Pass - Valid from Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Monday..

Group Swim

Advanced reservations required for ALL groups. Call 410-414-8350, ext. 4. Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. are designated as open/group swim nights. During these hours the pool is open for general admission, pass/coupon holders and groups with 25-350 persons may attend at the special group rate. Regular rates apply at other times or if no reservation is made.
  • 25-100 people: $5 adults, $3 children**
  • 101-200 people: $4 adults, $2.50 children**
  • 201-350 people: $3 adults, $2 children**

**Children 12 years of age and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 years of age or older
