Will the County pick up an old refrigerator or other appliances?  Yes.  Call the Appeal Landfill to schedule a pickup at (410) 326-0210.

Someone has dumped tires/old carpet alongside the road.  Who should I contact?    On State roads contact the State Highway Maintenance at (410) 535-1748.  On County Roads, call the Calvert County Highway Maintenance at (410) 535-0905 for a pick up.  Calvert County Highway Maintenance will pick up this type of debris if it is within the County right-of-way.  If outside the right-of-way, it is the responsibility of the effected  property owner.
