Department Overview
The Department of Economic Development monitors economic trends and works to execute business programs that complement Calvert County. The department’s goal is to attract and retain strong, healthy and dynamic companies of all sizes and industries. The department also markets the county’s tourism and visitor attractions, provides services and assistance to the business community and administers the county's public information program.

Retail Analysis Study/Fact Sheet

Mission
Calvert County Economic Development (CCED) acts as a catalyst to enhance the economy of Calvert County by promoting quality, economic development within the parameters set by the Comprehensive Plan.

The Department concentrates on working with the private sector to provide employment opportunities for Calvert County residents, increasing the commercial tax base and increasing the number of visitors to the County. In generating new business opportunities, the County continues to remain sensitive to the environment and responsive to community interests.
