    Board of County Commissioners meetings are held Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, located in the Calvert County Circuit Courthouse at 175 Main St. in Prince Frederick. Meetings are open to the public and generally last the business day. In addition, the board holds evening meetings when necessary. Time and place of evening meetings are advertised in the local Calvert County newspapers. An agenda for the weekly meeting is published the Thursday prior to the Tuesday meeting.

  2. Architectural Review Committee - Owings Town Center Meeting - MEETING CANCELLED

    MEETING CANCELLED
    The committee makes recommendations to the Planning Commission regarding approval of exterior design features of public and private buildings, including building scale and the relationship between proposed buildings and existing buildings and green spaces, structures, and signs on the basis of the Town Center (TC) Architectural standards and criteria; promotes awareness of good design within the community; and reviews master plans and make recommendations. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m.

  3. Planning Commission Meeting

    Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, the Planning Commission serves as a citizen review board on county planning decisions. The Planning Commission is both an advisory and decision-making body. Planning Commission meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of each month with the exception of the month of December. Special Meetings are held on as "as needed" basis.

  6. Environmental Commission Meeting

    The Environmental Commission is a citizen board of experts on environmental factors that affect Calvert County and the Chesapeake Bay. They work to spread public awareness of environmental issues and to advise County staff upon request. Each meeting of the Environmental Commission features a guest speaker, who will speak on a topic related to his/her field of expertise and the natural environment of Calvert County and the Chesapeake Bay. This guest speaker is generally scheduled for 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM of each meeting.
