  1. "Transitions" Gallery Art Show

    March 2, 11:00 AM - April 2, 5:00 PM @ Artworks@7th Fine Art & Unique Gifts

    For the month of March the photography, as well as other artistic, creative and imaginative talents of Southern Maryland’s own Lonnie Harkins will be featured at Artworks@7th. Leading you on a journey from traditional photography to the realm of Fine Art, the new show by Lonnie showcases his vision as seen through the camera lens as well as his artistic vision that comes from within. The show will run from March 2nd thru April 2nd with an Opening Reception and complimentary refreshments on Saturday, March 4th from 5:00-8:00 PM. So come on out, meet the artist, support your local arts community, and peruse the distinctive and unique works of Lonnie Harkins as well as the other creative and talented local artists offered throughout the gallery – you’ll be impressed with the artistic quality and creativity of the work and you might just find that something special for friends, family, or even for yourself!

  2. Homeschool Day

    March 15, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Calvert Marine Museum

    Maritime History Comes Alive! is the theme for the Spring 2017 Homeschool Day. The day is designed for children age nine through 15, but all ages can discover something new. The museum’s Maritime History Gallery spans human habitation along the Patuxent River from the Patuxent Indians to modern times. Games, role play, interactive tours, and hands-on activities ensure that participants will enjoy the experience and learn some important facts about local history.   3. "Let's Talk" Yoga and its Health Benefits

    March 15, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Harriet E. Brown Community Center

    Learn about the health benefits of yoga. The presentation is geared toward those in recovery and their families. Dress comfortably and be prepared to participate. You'll enjoy a relaxing evening with a great instructor and the opportunity to win free yoga sessions.   1. Calvert County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan - 3 Year Plan Amendment for the Special Event Recycling Program (SERP)

    March 15, 7:00 PM @ Courthouse Square Meeting Room

    The Calvert County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the Calvert County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan - 3 Year Plan Amendment for the Special Event Recycling Program (SERP). The purpose of the amendment is to address the following changes to State Law: 2014 Laws of Maryland, Ch. 338, which specifies counties must include and implement special event recycling and waste diversion programs in the counties’ recycling plans.
