  1. "Transitions" Gallery Art Show

    March 2, 11:00 AM - April 2, 5:00 PM @ Artworks@7th Fine Art & Unique Gifts

    For the month of March the photography, as well as other artistic, creative and imaginative talents of Southern Maryland’s own Lonnie Harkins will be featured at Artworks@7th. Leading you on a journey from traditional photography to the realm of Fine Art, the new show by Lonnie showcases his vision as seen through the camera lens as well as his artistic vision that comes from within. The show will run from March 2nd thru April 2nd with an Opening Reception and complimentary refreshments on Saturday, March 4th from 5:00-8:00 PM. So come on out, meet the artist, support your local arts community, and peruse the distinctive and unique works of Lonnie Harkins as well as the other creative and talented local artists offered throughout the gallery – you’ll be impressed with the artistic quality and creativity of the work and you might just find that something special for friends, family, or even for yourself!

  1. Budget Adjustments - Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad New Building and Courthouse Restroom Renovations

    March 7, 10:30 AM @ County Commissioners Hearing Room

    The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners will hold separate Public Hearings to consider and receive comments for the following budget adjustments: 1. In the Capital Projects Fund, needed to increase appropriations for the Prince Frederick Rescue Squad - New Building project to cover additional construction costs to build a new 21,314 square foot facility + on their current site; and 2. In the Capital Projects Fund, needed to increase appropriations for the Courthouse Bathroom Renovation project to cover construction costs to design, construct and renovate toilet rooms at the Calvert County Courthouse based on applicable codes and to provide Americans with Disabilities Act accessible facilities.
