Mission Statement:
The purpose and mission of the Employees Recognition Committee is to:
- Publicly recognize individual Calvert County employees for outstanding performance.
- Conduct an annual service award presentation acknowledging milestones in years of service for County employees.
- Provide social opportunities aimed at boosting employee morale (e.g., Annual Crab Feast, Raffling of Hospice Christmas Tree, etc.).
- Send cards and/or flowers to employees acknowledging significant life events. Those events may include: marriage, birth of a child, illness of an employee or death in immediate family.
- Award annual college scholarships. (if funds are available)
The ERC funds these goals through monies received from the Board of County Commissioners and from profits from soda machine sales and other fundraising events as deemed appropriate by the Committee.
Meetings:
We meet on the second Thursday of each month from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
