SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
Reappointed Christopher Donley and appointed Stephen A. Oberg to the Agriculture Commission.
Reappointed W. Russell Bonner and Randy R. Matteson to the Employees’ Retirement Plan Board of Trustees.
Appointed Detective Sgt. Michael Moore to the Sheriff’s Department Pension Plan Board of Trustees.
Approved the proposed by-law change of the Cove Point Light Station Commission to meet twice per year instead of four times per year.
Approved the tax credit application for 14 properties submitted by the Southern Calvert Land Trust.
Approved a budget adjustment in the amount of $44,000, bringing the total reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the pump station vandalism to $50,000. Commissioner Stinnett directed staff to provide a detailed listing of the vandalism that has occurred.
Held a public hearing and approved the amendments to the Charitable Gambling Regulations as proposed by the Gambling Permit Review Committee.
Held a public hearing on the proposed Commercial Bingo Regulations and approved keeping the record open until close of business on November 11, 2008, in order to receive further public comment.
Awarded Senoda, of Washington, D.C., the Printing of the Visitors Guide Contract for the per piece bid amount of .1777.
Approved the application for Certification of Development Options submitted by William C. Bowen Jr. and Darleen W. Bowen for their 31.71 acres, allowing for 32 development options.
Attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Calvert County Indoor Aquatic Center.
