BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Summary of Action Taken
Tuesday, December 19, 2006

Kathy Smith, Clerk of the Circuit Court, swore the following newly-elected Commissioners into office:  Gerald “Jerry” W. Clark, Linda L. Kelley, Wilson H. Parran, Susan Shaw, and Barbara A. Stinnett.

Elected Commissioner Parran as President of the Board of County Commissioners for a one-year term.

Elected Commissioner Shaw as Vice President of the Board of County Commissioners for a one-year term.

Appointed Corinne J. Cook as Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners for a one-year term.

Elected Commissioner Parran to serve as the Calvert County representative on the Maryland Association of Counties Legislative Committee; and elected Commissioner Shaw to serve as the alternate.

Elected Commissioner Kelley to serve on the Commission to Study Southern Maryland Transportation Needs.

Held a reception following the regular business meeting.

Held a public meeting with the Southern Maryland delegation to present the County’s Legislative Items for 2007.
