Presented a proclamation designating the month of April as Archaeology Month, urging all citizens to join in this observance promoting the conservation of archaeological resources and to reflect upon the vital role of archaeology in revealing the unique legacy of Calvert County.
Presented a proclamation designating the month of April as Month of the Young Child, commending all organizations for providing their superior initiative, leadership ability, support, and commitment for daily vital contributions to the children in our communities, improving stronger families for our future children in Calvert County.
Recognized the following winners of the Month of the Young Child Poster Contest:
Grand Prize Winner - Cameron Maldonado
1st place for 5 year olds - Sarah Nedrow
2nd place for 5 year olds - Haylee Dawling
1st place for 4 year olds - Lauren Bute
2nd Place for 4 year olds - Ryan Renner
1st place for 3 year olds - Natalie Crawford
2nd place for 3 year olds - Dane Roper
Approved the tax differential for the County’s two incorporated towns, North Beach and Chesapeake Beach, to remain the same at $.336, which brings the County tax rate within the Towns to $.556 per one hundred dollars of assessment.
Departed for New York for the annual meetings with the bond raters.
