BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Summary of Actions Taken
Tuesday, July 31, 2007

Presented a proclamation designating Tuesday, August 7, 2007, as National Night Out, urging citizens to join together with local law enforcement to promote cooperative police/community crime prevention efforts.

The Calvert County Commission for Women gave a summary of their 2007 Annual Report and introduced their new chair, Tracy Palmer.

Appointed Kathleen Riley to serve as Chair and Christy Hamilton as Vice Chair of the Calvert County Family Network.

Approved the position grades and salary ranges for the County Attorney, County Administrator, and Department Heads, and adopted the performance management system for these positions.

Approved the application for certification of 22 development options for Leon E. and Margaret A. Gilbert’s Agricultural Preservation District #06-16.

Held a work session and approved the six amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as recommended by the Planning Commission.

Held a work session regarding the Draft Calvert County Comprehensive Water and Sewerage Plan – 2007 Update. Directed staff to make changes as discussed and bring back to the Board for review on August 14, 2007, prior to taking this out for public comment.
