Executive Session Meeting
AGENDA

The Board will meet with staff to discuss a potential property acquisition.
This agenda is subject to change and the times listed are approximate.
If any items are added for consideration, they will be included on a
revised agenda that will be issued prior to the closed session.

Summary of Actions Taken
Re-appointed Karen M. Eggert and appointed Maureen Cunningham to the Board of Library Trustees.
Re-appointed Dr. Suzanne G. Haynes to the Commission for Women. Directed staff to contact the Chair to relay the Board’s dissatisfaction with the appointment process in place for this Commission.
Awarded the contract for the purchase of a compact excavator for the Water and Sewerage Division to Metro Bobcat Sales, of Forestville, Maryland, for the bid amount of $36,594.
Awarded the contract for the purchase of two County vehicles to Waldorf Ford, of Waldorf, Maryland, for the total bid amount of $35,295.
Awarded the contract for Landfill Environmental Monitoring and Consultant Services to Hill Consulting, of Annapolis, Maryland, for the bid amount of $20,548.
Approved a budget adjustment in the amount of $56,407 in order to set up the Gang Intelligence Network grant for the Detention Center and authorized the President of the Board to sign the grant award. Directed staff to research and respond to the Board on the following:
- Are we piggy-backing on the State contract with SunGard? Please provide a copy of the contract.
- Are there other staffing implications?
- Who would receive any overtime pay?
- What is done with the information that is gathered?
- Will the County’s Purchasing Department be involved with the procurement?
Held a public hearing and approved a budget adjustment in the amount of $180,000 for the continued operation of Chesapeake Hills Golf Course through March 31, 2008, signed the related resolution, and authorized the President to sign the letter to MEDCO and Wells Fargo.
Held a work session on the proposed revised Animal Control Ordinance. This work session will continue next Tuesday, December 18, 2007.
Attended the Business Appreciation Week Wrap-up Luncheon.
Attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Calvert Medical Arts Center at Calvert Memorial Hospital.
