The state of Maryland empowers the Board of License Commissioners (commonly referred to as the Liquor Board, and hereinafter referred to as the "Board") to adminster and enforce the provisions of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Board has adopted its own Rules and Regulations necessary to carry out its duties under Article 2B.
The Board's responsibility is to regulate and control the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within the County, to obtain respect and obedience to laws, and to administer and enforce the provisions of the laws of the state of Maryland and the Rules and Regulations of Calvert County.
The Board is comprised of three regular members and one alternate member appointed biennially by the Governor of Maryland. Board members serve two-year terms.

The Board meets on the fourth Thursday monthly at 7:30 p.m. at Courthouse Square, 205 Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD. Below is the meeting schedule for 2012. Once each agenda is set for the month, that month will appear underlined and will be linked to the corresponding agenda. Below that chart, is a chart with the Minutes for each month. Once the minutes have been approved, that month will also appear underlined and will be linked to the corresponding, approved minutes.
* Please note, November and December’s meetings will be held on December 6.
