Presented proclamations for Historic Preservation Month; Respect for Law Week; and the Learning Disabilities Association (Calvert County Family Network).
Reappointed Conrad Pearson and Margaret Phipps to the Commission on Aging. Appointed Althea Farmer, Ruth Rondberg, Helen Sarver, Barbara Sprecher and Margaret VanAuker to fill vacancies.
Approved a quitclaim deed, Danny and Catherine Mayo in Dares Beach.
Participated in the annual Senior Citizens Fine Arts Competition Awards Ceremony.
Awarded the contract for hauling and disposing of sewage sludge to Atlantic Coast Trucking, Inc. as recommended.
Awarded the cropland lease agreement of the Biscoe Gray property to Earl Hance of Port Republic.
Reviewed a proposed Workplace Violence policy. Approved proceeding to public hearing on the proposed policy with modifications.
Approved budget adjustment #481, inmate care accounts, Detention Center.
Held a budget work session. Completed action on unresolved budget issues. Received a forecast from staff for FY 2005, 2006 and 2007. Approved proceeding to public hearing on the FY 2005 budget with an increase in the 911 fee and no increase in property or income taxes.
