Summary of Action Taken
Tuesday, May 18, 2004
Presented a proclamation to the Annapolis Sail and Power Squadron for Safe Boating Week.
Reviewed and made revisions to the educational material to be presented to the public regarding Code Home Rule government.
Held a public hearing on a historic district designation application for the Peters’ Cabin. Approved the historic district designation.
Received a presentation on an oyster aquaculture pilot project that will aid in cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay and a request that the County grants writer assist in identifying grant sources and writing the grant application. Directed that staff provide information for review by the County Attorney and the Board.
Met with staff regarding a proposal to establish a one-rate County Water and Sewer System. Requested information and directed that a work session be scheduled to discuss the proposal further.
Toured Huntingtown High School.
