Appointed Pamela Lucas to the Calvert County Employees Retirement Savings Plan Board of Directors to fill a vacancy due to a resignation.
Reappointed Beverly Spicknall to the Owings Town Center Architectural Review Committee.
Approved Board of Education nonrecurring costs for FY 2005.
Approved the FY 2005 budget for the Calvert Marine Museum Board of Governors.
Appointed the following to the Law Enforcement Block Grant Advisory Committee: Major Tom Hejl, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office; Steve Rupard, Investigator, State’s Attorney’s Office; Pat Veitch, Family Services Coordinator, Office of the Courts; Dawn Lister, Criminal Justice Coordinator, Calvert High School; and Kelly Chambers, United Way of Calvert County.
Awarded the contract for printing of brochures for Parks and Recreation to the low bidder, Southern Maryland Printing.
Approved that the Wm. B. Tennison participate in the Buyboat Rendezvous in Rock Hall, Maryland.
Approved the following certifications (converting lots to TDRs): George and Virginia Brobst; Michael and Suzanne Mrozinski; Howard and Rita Dillard; Frederick Mumma; Harriet Rusk; and Arthur and Martha Conaway.
Approved the request of Daylin Titus to place a mobile hot dog cart in the parking lot behind the Courthouse Annex, operating Monday through Friday for a four to five hour time period. This will be a 60 day trial until staff develops guidelines for such operations.
Held a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Water and Sewer Plan – WSMA 04-2, Cove Point Park Aquatic Center and WSMA 04-2, Chesapeake Hills Golf Course and proposed expansion of the Solomons Sanitary District to accommodate the map amendments. Approved the map amendments and resolution; approved expansion of the sanitary district and resolution.
Held a work session with staff on a Water and Sewer Rate Study. A follow-up work session will be held in late August.
