Summary of Action Taken
September 14, 2004
Presented Team Excellence Award to: Gennie Zentgraft, Risk Management/Benefits Specialist and Lisa Hyde, Risk Management/Benefits Assistant, Department of Finance and Budget; and Lynn Kaltwasser, Systems Analyst II and Holly Tennyson, Systems Analyst I, Technology Services. The team was nominated for their efforts in automating the process for County employees to re-enroll the health benefits and flexible spending accounts.
Welcomed Mr. Harold Closter, the new Director of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program in connection with Annmarie Gardens.
Held a public hearing on the recommendations from the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Advisory Committee on expenditure of grant funds. Approved expenditure of the funds as recommended.
Appointed Morris W. Suit, II to the Agricultural Land Preservation Advisory Committee.
Reappointed Thomas LaMoure and George Tilghman to the Historic District Commission.
Reappointed Melissa Bless and Stephanie Patterson to the Tourism Advisory Committee.
Appointed Marco Orsini to the Tri-County Animal Shelter Board to fill a vacancy due to a resignation.
Authorized the President of the Board to sign a modified easement agreement with the Maryland Historical Trust in connection with renovations at Linden.
Awarded the contract for construction of a canoe platform at Nan’s Cove to the low bidder, Colliflower & Peterson.
Awarded the contract for repairs to the catwalk at the Solomons Boatramp to the low bidder, Colliflower & Peterson.
Deferred action on an Inmate Housing Agreement with the Calvert County Fair, Inc.
