Tuesday, September 28, 2004
Recognized deputies who received Deputy of the Year Awards.
Met with Secretary Robert Flanagan of the Maryland Department of Transportation and officials from the State Highway Administration and Maryland Transit Administration.
Appointed JoAnn Adams, Ingrid America, Keri Lipperini and Sherri Hooper-Torricelli to the Core Service Agency Advisory Board to fill vacancies.
Reappointed Daniel O. Baker, Jr. to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Approved budget adjustment #129, printing and mailing of an informational brochure regarding Code Home Rule.
Approved the application from Southern Calvert Land Trust for tax credits on certain lots the organization owns.
Approved an agreement between the County and Friends of Felines for operation of the feral cat sanctuary.
Approved removal of the outstanding County taxes owed by the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department.
Adopted the revised Equal Employment Opportunity Plan.
Approved that a public hearing be scheduled to consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance regarding converting lots to TDRs.
Approved the following applications for converting lots to TDRs: Lois Roex; Calvert and Eric Bunn property; Clarence and Diane Suggs property; and George and Patricia McKnew property.
Approved Certification of Development Options – Catherine Sollers and Goldstein property (Tobacco Ridge Road).
Approved gambling permit applications for the fourth quarter of 2004.
Approved the request from David Grace to operate a food vending business at the Appeal Landfill between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
