Greg Bowen, Director, Planning and Zoning, introduced Chris Campaigne as the new Deputy Director, Planning and Zoning.

Recognized Bob Shumate, Park Maintenance Coordinator, Parks and Recreation Division, as Employee of the Month for January 2005.

Recognized the following employees of the Parks and Recreation Division for the Team Excellence Award:

Charles O. Dalrymple, Building Maintenance Worker

Leonard S. Goddard, Building and Grounds Worker II

Ben Bunyasz, Grounds Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)

Recognized the Control Center Staff for receiving the “Certificate of Excellence” from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Recognized the Department of Finance & Budget for receiving the “Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” from the Government Finance Officers Association for the fourth year in a row.

Approved appointment of RoxAnne Riddle Cumberland to the Planning Commission.

Approved extending the term of Warren D. Gott for an additional six months on the Calvert County Fire and Rescue Commission. Directed staff to find a replacement that is a registered Calvert County voter.

Approved recommendations of the Emergency Management Division regarding disbursement of the Homeland Security Grant funds.

Approved application for Certification of Development Options for Ronald L. and Joyce H. Jett.
