BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Summary of Actions Taken
Tuesday, March 8, 2005
Declared the month of March as American Red Cross Month.
Declared the month of March as Disability Awareness Month.
Approved the motion that, according to the Code of Public Local Laws - Subtitle 3 Fire and Rescue Commission, 9-301.a.1., this position is elected by the County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, and therefore, the Board of County Commissioners does not need to approve the election of this position.
Deferred approval of appointment to the Core Service Agency Advisory Board until the Board received a copy of the application and resume.
Approved the recommendation of the Department of Public Safety for use of Contingency Funds to make repairs to Engine 31, Engine 33, and Truck 3 of the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
Approved the recommendations by the Department of Finance regarding the Board of Education formula and other considerations as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding.
Awarded custodial services for the Southern Community Center to Sun Services, Inc. as recommended by the Department of Finance & Budget.
Removed the work session on the Public Safety CIP Budget Request due to the fact that it relates to the FY’07 CIP Budget, and needs to be rescheduled to a later date.
Approved the recommendation of the Department of Community Resources to utilize Option 3– Purchase of Services as presented.
