BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Summary of Actions Taken
Tuesday, July 12, 2005

Approved the re-appointments to the Core Services Agency Advisory Board as recommended by Doug Weems, Director.

Adopted the resolution identifying National Incident Management System (NIMS) as Calvert’s incident management model.

Awarded Nastos Construction, Inc. of Washington, D.C., the Commercial Builder Contract for the bid of $11,750, which is a time and materials contract to provide services to remodel and repair commercial government-use space as needed in County-owned facilities throughout Calvert County.

Awarded DelMarVa Pest and Lawn Services of Huntingtown, Maryland the School Ball Field Mowing – Countywide contract for the bid of $34,617.60.

Awarded Leonard Construction the Calvert Marine Museum Storage Facility contract for the bid of $64,950, and approved budget adjustment #3 in the amount of $27,850.

Awarded Colliflower and Peterson the Molly’s Legg Bulkhead Repairs contract for a bid of $100,000, and authorized the scour protection work with the understanding that the Department of Natural Resources will provide all required funding for the project through a Waterway Improvement Grant Funding.

Approved upholding the decisions made during the budget process and granted the 12 promotions based on the Sheriff’s promotion policy. Directed staff to come back with a promotion probation policy and a pay policy.

Approved the application from Joshua Lewis and Jessica Malone-Lewis for Historic District Designation of Bleak Hill.
