Summary of Actions Taken
Tuesday, August 2, 2005

Approved Calvert County Public School use of Mt. Hope Community Center for their child care program while construction is being completed at Sunderland Elementary.

Deferred any action on the requested improvements at Kellam Field until further information has been received regarding parking issues. Directed staff to send a letter to the Town of Chesapeake Beach asking the following questions:   1) Would these improvements increase the usage of the facility?  2) What is the town’s plan for resolving the parking issues?  3) Why does the site plan not depict the site accurately?  Also directed staff to find out who owns the parking area and to present a comparison of the building size vs. the parking area needed, just as if it were going through the normal County process.

Approved signing the resolution to forward funds, not to exceed $9,000,000, for FY 2006 capital projects. County Attorney is to provide a copy of the memo sent last year regarding the Dowell Road Widening capital project to the Commissioners.

Approved the budget for the Calvert Marine Museum Board of Governors for FY 2006 as presented.

Approved budget adjustment #35 in the amount of $642,000 and signed the resolution for the Solomons Water Extended – Lusby Booster Pump.
