Animal licenses may be purchased from the Treasurer’s Office for the fee of $20.00 for unsprayed/unneutered pets or $7.00 for spayed/neutered pets. Proof of rabies shot must be provided to obtain an animal license. Acceptable methods of payment for animal licenses are cash or check. Our office DOES NOT accept debit/credit cards. All return checks are subject to a $25.00 return check fee.
The animal license is valid for the period of one year from the date of issuance.
The Calvert County Animal Ordinance addresses all regulations set forth in regards to animals, you can request a copy of the ordinance from the Animal Control Division or obtain a copy online.
