Housing Authority Programs
- Housing Choice Voucher Program
HACC administers 346 federal Housing Choice Vouchers providing housing subsidies for households in privately owned residences. Eligible households pay 30% of their monthly income for rent with balance of rent being paid by a federal subsidy. Household incomes average $15,990 per year.
- Public Family Housing
HACC owns 72 scattered site detached single-family dwellings that we maintain. Residents are required to pay 30% of their monthly income for rent. Household incomes average $15,028 per year.
- Housing for Seniors and the Disabled
HACC owns and/or manages housing for the elderly and disabled in the following communities:
- Calvert Pines I Apartments, Prince Frederick — 52 units
- Calvert Pines II Apartments, Prince Frederick — 48 units
- Southern Pines Apartments, Lusby — 76 units
- Town Center Apartments, North Beach—49 units
- Other Programs:
- Special Loan Program—Rehabilitation loans for low– and moderate-income homeowners.
- Calvert Loan Program—Loans for builders and homeowners.
- Rental Allowance Program— Short term housing rental assistance.
NOTE: Funding for these programs is extremely limited, and in many cases, there are lengthy waiting lists that may require a wait of several years for available housing. Applications may be obtained Monday thru Friday, 8:30 - 4:30 at the Housing Authority office located at 480 Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, or by calling 410-535-5010.
