Planning Commission
The Commission serves as a citizen review board on County planning decisions; makes recommendations concerning the zoning of land, amendments to the ordinances, the development of public structures and services, land acquisitions, and other development and growth-related issues; creates, approves, and amends the Comprehensive Plan; prepares master plans and other reports necessary to guide development or to educate the citizens of County planning decisions; and reviews and approves the subdivision of land for residential and commercial use and plans for the future development of individual sites.

Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board
The Board have jurisdiction over all appeals in Calvert County concerning property tax assessments, the Home Owners’ Tax Credit Program, the Renters’ Tax Credit Program, the Agricultural Land Preservation Easement Program, and other local tax matters assigned to the Board for hearing.

Sheriff Dept. Pension Plan Board of Trustees
The County adopted the Calvert County Sheriff's Department Pension Plan effective July 1, 1989, for the benefit of its eligible employees.

Social Services Advisory Board
The Board works closely with Department of Social Services Director on local application of state policies/procedures and issues relative to the program.

Soil Conservation District Board of Directors
The district, as an independent agency, is recognized as the lead organization for providing information and programs for the conservation of soil, water, and related natural resources and improvement of water quality in Calvert County.

SoMD Resource Conservation Board of Directors
The Southern Maryland Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation serving the citizens of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties.

Tourism Advisory Commission
The Commission works in an advisory capacity to the BOCC to promote, encourage, and improve initiatives that support or expand the tourism industry in Calvert County.

Tri-County Animal Shelter Advisory Board
The Board gives advice to the BOCC relative to the service rendered by the Tri-County Animal Shelter to the citizens of Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties

Tri-County Youth Services Bureau Directors
Tri-County Youth Services Bureau, Inc. is a community-based, private nonprofit organization supporting youth and strengthening families in Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties since 1971.
