Last Day to Register to Vote, as well as change your name, address, or party affiliation

Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - The office will be open until 9:00 p.m. to receive hand-delivered applications and change requests.  Applications or requests that are mailed must be postmarked by October 18, 2016.  Change requests may be faxed or scanned/emailed, as long as the document contains the voter's signature.  Also, applicants with a valid Maryland driver's license may access the Voter Services Website to register and/or make changes to your voter record.

Last Day to Submit Requests for Voter Lists/CD's, etc.

Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - Must be received in-office by 9:00 p.m.

Last Day to Submit Applications for Absentee Ballots

Tuesday, November 1, 2016 - Applications* must be received via mail no later than 8:00 p.m. or via fax no later than 11:59 p.m.  The deadline for a voter to request an absentee ballot be sent electronically is Friday, November 4, 2016 - 5:00 p.m. via mail or 11:59 p.m. via email or fax.  In-person absentee applications will be processed through 8:00 p.m. on Election Day November 8, 2016.

*NOTE:  Absentee ballots will not be released without a signed application on file by the voter(s).  Sample ballots may NOT be used as absentee ballots and will NOT be counted as actual votes.

Early Voting - General Election
Early Voting dates: Thursday, October 27-Thursday, November 3, 2016.  Voting hours each day: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Early Voting Center: 30 Duke Street - Lower Level Conference Room, Prince Frederick, MD  20678.  Located in the Community Resources Building (former old library) directly across the street from the Prince Frederick Post Office.

Note that, during the early voting period, this is the only facility in Calvert County that you may go to vote.  To vote on Election Day, you will report to your assigned polling place.  This is located on your Voter Notification Card.  It will also be listed on the sample ballot mailed to voters prior to each election.  In addition, voters may access the Voter Services Website to verify their voter registration information.
