CAASA Committees
Local Volunteer Groups
CAASA is organized into committees of local volunteers working together to address alcohol and other drug abuse issues and concerns.

Community Relations
Work with local churches, Neighborhood Watch communities and the general public to increase the community's knowledge of the alcohol and drug problem in Calvert County and to encourage the public to take action and participate.

To work with the Board of Education, College of Southern Maryland and private schools to develop multi-faceted programs to address alcohol and drug abuse among our students.

Law Enforcement
To provide a mechanism to bring communities together to exchange information and ideas in an effort to make them stronger and safer.

Public Relations
To provide information to the community about alcohol and other drug abuse in the county through the use of a website, newsletter and press releases.

Business and Resources Development
To assist in  educating local businesses to alcohol and other drug abuse issues and prevention resources in Calvert County.  
To increase business participation and sponsorship of CAASA activities and programs.

Treatment and Rehab
To allocate funds from the Bernard Marvin Johnson Charitable Remainder Trust to those seeking to enter a non-court ordered 28-day treatment program.
