Calvert County Citizens Academy

Local government touches the lives of all residents.

From public safety, recreation programs and road maintenance to water service, senior programs, building codes and more,
county government performs a vital role in the well-being of our community.

Now residents can get an in-depth look at how county government works through the Calvert County Government Citizens Academy.
This free program features site visits and discussions with county staff that will give a unique insight into the daily work
that goes into local government.

The seven-week academy includes weekly three-hour sessions Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.
It is open to county residents 18 years of age and older. Participants will be selected through an application process.

The 2017 Citizens Academy is now full.
