Adult Pickleball
Parks & Recreation has several indoor places to play the fast-growing sport of Pickleball.

Pickleball is similar to tennis. It’s played with a paddle slightly larger than one used for table tennis and a plastic ball with holes similar to a wiffleball. It’s fast-paced and requires quick reflexes, but not a lot of running since the court is only 20 by 44 feet.

If you want to play, there is adult drop-in Pickleball offered at North Beach Recreation Center and Patuxent Elementary School. Both locations also have paddles and balls for you to use at no charge.

You can check the days and times available by checking the current edition of Parks & Recreation's Program brochure or calling Parks & Recreation's Main Office at (410) 535-1600 ext. 2649.

This is a fun way not only for adults to stay active, but it is also very social game and a way to meet new people.
