Internship and Volunteer Opportunities
Internship Program*

• Available to college students, in their junior or senior year, earning a criminal justice degree and receiving credit(s) for participation.
• Most hours are acquired by accompanying deputies on road patrol in four hour increments for observation, but introduction
to other bureaus and units within the agency is included.
• Positions are non-paid and the application process is continuous.


* The summer 2017 internship positions have been filled.

Volunteer Program

• Available to applicants at least 18 years of age with the desire to share, experience, and gain new skills.
• Hours are acquired by providing assistance, typically clerical in nature, Monday - Friday, during regular business hours, 
  8:30 - 4:30 p.m.; special events may be scheduled after hours and on the weekend.

Based upon the results of a criminal history check, you will be contacted to schedule an interview or be notified of
ineligibility in approximately two weeks.
