Emergency Preparedness

With hurricane season upon us, the Calvert County Office on Aging would like to remind seniors of the importance of advanced preparation. We encourage all senior citizens to prepare in advance and have a plan for these potentially dangerous storms.

The United States Department of Homeland Security has many helpful preparation tips here:

https://www.ready.gov/seniors

Develop a checklist to help you prepare here:

https://www.ready.gov/make-a-plan

The Red Cross has an article prepared by senior citizens that offers many helpful tips:

All of us are hoping that we will never have to deal with such a situation, but it is always best to prepare to protect and care for yourself and your loved ones.

You and your families are worth it!
