Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center
The Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center serves Calvert County with aquatic programs for people of all ages and abilities. The facility and pools are compliant with ADA regulations and are completely accessible. Please contact facility for specific accommodations and assistance.

The facility was named for Edward T. Hall, a Calvert County native who served in the Maryland Senate from 1958 until his death in 1978. He was also a co-founder of the Calvert Independent newspaper in 1940.

Wibit Rules
  • Must be at least 6 years of age and a deep water swimmer without lifejacket/PFD (swim 25 yards and tread for 30 seconds).
  • Must be at least 45 inches (3 feet, 9 inches) tall.
  • No pushing of other patrons off the Wibit.
  • No more than a combine weight of 880 lbs.
  • Patrons must start from in the water and cannot jump onto Wibit from wall.
  • No swimming underneath the Wibit.
  • Remove watches, rings and other sharp objects before using.
  • If you fall off the Wibit, you must swim to nearest wall/ladder (not bulkhead) to exit.
  • Do not jump off Wibit towards wall or bulkhead. At end of course jump off Wibit in forward direction and exit water immediately via wall or ladder.

    Additional Information

Pools will be cleared of all youths seventeen years of age and under for fifteen minutes prior to each hour for a rest period.

The “Rest Period” rule will be whistled/enforced every Saturday and Sunday, throughout the year, on the following schedule;

Saturday and Sunday 12:45
Saturday and Sunday 1:45
Saturday and Sunday 2:45
Saturday and Sunday 3:45
Saturday and Sunday 4:45
Saturday and Sunday 5:45
Saturday and Sunday 6:45
Saturday Only 7:45

Competition Pool with Diving Boards
  • 1/2-meter diving board
  • 1-meter diving board

  • 50 meters by 25 yards
  • Depths range from 4 feet to 12.9 feet
  • Heated to 79-82°F
  • Movable bulkhead allowing for multiple certified competitive swimming course configurations
  • Open recreation swim area
  • Step, ramp and ladder entry

Leisure / Children's Pool
  • Three youth slides
  • Beach style / ramp and ladder entry
  • Depths range from zero to 3 feet
  • Heated to 82-84°F
  • In-water climbing feature
  • Water drop buckets

Therapy Pool
  • 28 feet x 52 feet
  • Three sets of adjustable walking bars
  • Depths range from 3.5 feet to 4.5 feet with exercise well of 8 feet
  • Hand rails around inside perimeter of pool
  • Heated to 88-92°F
  • Step and ladder entry
  • Underwater bench

Spa / Hot Tub (Adults 18 years of age and older)
  • Heated to 100-102°F
  • Seating for 9 people
  • Step entry
  • Three-foot depth

Men and Women's Locker Rooms
  • Automatic hand / hair dryer
  • Daily use lockers (provide your own lock)
  • Individual showers with changing stalls
  • Restrooms

Family / Handicap Changing Rooms
