Registration for Parks and Recreation Summer Camps Starts March 29

We offer a flexible payment schedule to assure that everyone can experience summer camp.
Sign up early! Space is limited. No camps will meet July 4.
Register at Northeast Community Center, North Beach Recreation Center, Mt. Hope Community Center, Harriet E. Brown Community Center or Southern Community Center Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and the Parks and Recreation Main Office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 Camp Calvert

Lego® Camp - Brick Inspiration
Northeast Community Center
 July 5  -14, 9 a.m. to noon, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ages 5-14
       Our workshops explore science, technology, architecture, engineering and art concepts using LEGO® bricks. Children will design, build and light up an entire city comprised of tall buildings, bridges, roads, parks and railways and will use batteries, bulbs, wires and switches to bring their new creations alive.
       Our curriculum will provide your child with an opportunity to design and build LEGO® creations working individually and in groups, and participate in challenges, group competitions, as well as free building time towards the end of the workshop. Cost is $92 per camper.

Camp Jr. Sheriff's                            
Cove Point Park
July 11-15 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.      
Grade 6-8 

            Camp Jr. Sheriff's Packet

      Campers will learn to interact with peers, law enforcement officers and volunteers in a criminal justice setting. Our program will engage children, both physically and mentally, through numerous activities and presentations given by the various teams within the Sheriff’s Office; K-9 Unit, Community Action Team and Special Operations Team. The Maryland State Police will fly in there helicopter and have a full demonstration
     Our mission is to teach children the importance of discipline, self-respect, integrity and teamwork essential to becoming productive members of our community, all while having a fun and new experience.
Please be sure to read your packet for complete details. 
Camp includes a t-shirt, water bottle and swimming. Cost is only $20 per camper.



Cool Kids Fun Camps
Mt. Harmony (MHES), Calvert (CES) and Patuxent (AES) Elementary Schools
MONDAY –  FRIDAY; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
JUNE 20th  - JULY 29th  (no camp July 3rd)
Ages 5-11
     Cool Kids Fun Camps are designed with the working parent in mind and offer indoor/outdoor interactive play, creative fitness, fun sports, dance, blockbuster movies, nature walks, weekly field trips and classic and modern games. The program is structured by the week, so parents can pick and pay for specific weeks. Registration is limited. Cost for each camp varies.
     *A $25.00 deposit to reserve a week with payment due in full by payment due date.
