Agriculture Commission
Overview
The commission advises the Board of County Commissioners on issues that affect, directly or indirectly, the farming industry in the county, promotes the continuance of viable farming industries in Calvert County and explores and develops new agri-business.

Members
The Board of County Commissioners appoints 12 members with at least two members from each election district and six at-large members.

In addition, there are agency representatives from Calvert County Soil Conservation District, Farm Bureau, Farmers Market, DNR/Forestry Service, Cooperative Extension Service and the Agriculture Preservation Board. The term of each member shall be three years. Members must complete financial disclosure statements annually.
