Employees Recognition Committee

Mission Statement
The purpose and mission of the Employees Recognition Committee is to publicly recognize individual Calvert County employees for outstanding performance:

  • Conduct an annual service award presentation acknowledging milestones in years of service for County employees    
  • Provide social morale-boosting opportunities (e.g., Annual Crab Feast, Christmas Tree Raffle, Summer and Holiday Luncheons, etc.)    
  • Send cards and/or flowers to employees acknowledging significant life events such as:
    • Marriage
    • Birth of a child
    • Illness of an employee
    • Death in immediate family
  • ERC Scholarship Program - Application
  • The ERC funds these goals through monies received from the Board of County Commissioners and from profits from vending machine sales and other fundraising events as deemed appropriate by the committee.


    Open Meetings
    The second Thursday of each month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. County Services Plaza, 150 Main Street, First Floor Conference Room, Prince Frederick, MD

    Open Meetings Statement
    The Employee Recognition Committee complies with the Open Meetings Act by making the agendas and minutes available at Agendas and Minutes.
