The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is proud to present its 2010 Progress Report on local government initiatives and accomplishments from the board’s four-year term covering 2006 to 2010.
The Progress Report provides an overview of county government operations in a variety of areas including county finances, economic development, transportation, education and public safety. Highlights include:

An FY 2011 budget that does not impact county services, avoids job loss and furloughs and does not raise taxes;

A public schools partnership that continues to ensure high-quality education;

Growth planning that preserves the natural, cultural and historic assets of Calvert County;

A thriving parks and recreation program capped by the opening of the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center;

The completion of public works projects that contribute to the safety of our roadways and our water and sewer systems;

Consistent economic development policies that have engendered a robust business climate, and;
-
A host of improved county services.
