The Board of County Commissioners adopted an update to the Solomons Town Center Master Plan on August 25, 2009, followed by the adoption of the updated Solomons Town Center Zoning Map and Zoning Ordinance on September 22, 2009. Please use the links below to access the documents.

Solomons Town Center Architectural Design Manual: Guidelines for Architectural Review Applicants. The Design Manual is to be used in conjunction with the Solomons Town Center Zoning Ordinance. The manual offers applicants examples of desirable design elements and shows examples of how new construction and renovation work can be compatible with the character of the Town Center. The Planning Commission adopted the Design Manual on August 2, 2010. The Design Manual is available free on line. To view, click here. Solomons Town Center Master Plan was Recognized as "Outstanding Plan" by the Maryland Chapter of the American Planning Association. Solomons Architectural Review Committee: The Committee reviews site designs and exterior design features of buildings, structures other than buildings, and signs in accordance with the appearance code in the Solomons Town Center Zoning Ordinance and the Solomons Town Center Architectural Design Manual. The Committee reviews proposed plans for public amenities, such as squares, landscaping plans, signs, and street furniture, and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners.
