JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
on the
UPDATE OF THE 2004 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

The Board of County Commissioners and the Planning Commission will hold a Joint Public Hearing to consider amendments to the 2004 Calvert County Comprehensive Plan on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Courthouse Square Hearing Room, 205 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Numerous amendments to the 2004 Calvert County Comprehensive Plan are proposed. The majority of proposed amendments address legislation enacted by the State of Maryland that mandated certain elements, such as a Water Resources Plan Element, be included in local jurisdictions’ comprehensive plans. Other amendments are the result of the Staff’s and Planning Commission’s review of the 2004 Comprehensive Plan’s Chapter I: Land. The amendments recommended by the Planning Commission for adoption by the County Commissioners may vary from the amendments proposed.
