The "Natural Resources & Sensitive Areas" section of the 2004 Comprehensive Plan states that we should, "Encourage preservation, protection and conservation of natural resources." Bay Restoration Fund - Grant monies available for property owners who are interested in upgrading their home septic system in order to reduce the amount of nitrogen it releases into our groundwater -- just another way to help save the Chesapeake Bay! Note: Grants are available for properties with a failed or failing septic system in the Critical Area only.
