Community Relations

The Community Relations Committee is committed to increasing the public's knowledge about the drug problem in Calvert County and to encourage the public to take action and participate.

Objectives:

The following objectives are aimed at increasing the community's awareness of the extent of substance abuse in Calvert County:

1. Assess current public awareness.
2. Identify and reach target groups.
3. Develop a pervasive drug awareness campaign.
4. Improve and publicize the availability of resources and information.
5. Mobilize grassroots involvement by community groups and citizens.
6. Provide county youth with more activities.

• Mini-grant Program
• Red Ribbon Week
• Alcohol Awareness Month
• "Step By Step" 5k Fun Run/Walk - Honoring Mike Blackwell
