Cooperative Extension
Maryland Cooperative Extension is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, land-grant universities and local governments in each state. Faculty and staff of the Maryland Cooperative Extension (MCE) provide research-based information, educational programs and services on a variety of subjects.
- Agriculture:
Crop Production, Integrated Pest Managment, Farm Financial Management, Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management, Soil Testing
- Family and Consumer Science:
Financial Management, Nutrition, Food Safety, Family and Parenting, Stress Management
- 4-H and Youth:
Programs for youth in 4-H Clubs (ages 8-18) and Clovers (age 5-7)
- Horticulture:
Home gardens, trees, plants, lawns, pests - provided by the MCE Home & Garden Information Center or call 1-800-342-2507 in Maryland. Outside Maryland call 410-531-1757.
