Division Overview
The Highway Maintenance Division oversees the maintenance and care of the county’s road network. This includes maintaining over 900 lane miles to improve drainage, repair potholes, maintain roadside shoulders, mow along roadsides, maintain guardrails, conduct roadway line striping, maintain road signage, pick up litter and cut back roadside trees. It also includes responding to all emergency/weather related situations such as snow removal, fallen trees and roadway flooding.

Mission
To provide prompt and courteous customer service to the citizens of Calvert County and to keep the county road network safe and in good condition by using a preventive maintenance plan and responding to citizens concerns.
