This seasonal facility includes a children’s wading pool, a leisure pool with various slides and water features, and a 25-meter, eight lane dive well with a half-meter & one-meter diving boards. and concession stand.

The pool will open to the public daily beginning Saturday, May 29, 2010 through
Monday, September 6, 2010.

Passes will go on sale starting May 3, 2010, at the main office of the Division of Parks and Recreation at 205 Main Street in Prince Frederick, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m or at Southern Community Center, Monday Through Saturday 10:00am to 8:00pm. . Passes will be available at the Hall Aquatic Center once it opens.

**Children 12 years of age and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 years of
age or older.

Passes will be available for singles, seniors/children and households of up to five people at the following rates:

Summer Pass–Valid from Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Monday.

Punch Pass - Valid for 10 admissions for the price of 8. Expires Labor Day Monday.

**Children 12 years of age and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 years of
age or older.

Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Open Swim)
Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Open Swim)
                                    6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Open/Group Swim)

Prior to June 17 and after August 1, hours and/or facility availability may vary depending on staff availability during school hours. Call the facility to inquire.

The lap pool will close at 4:00pm on June 22, July 6 & July 20 for swim meets.

Program information and online registration can be accessed by clicking on the "Programs & Online Registration" link at the top left corner. It is recommended that you create a household account in advance as described on the online registration page by calling the Main Office.

Cove Point Pool will be host to CCPR programs and activities such as American Red Cross group and individual Learn To Swim classes for children and adults and the Cove Point Crocs swim team.

Swim Lesson Registration begins Saturday, April 24th at 9am at the following community centers and online; Southern, Mt. Hope and Northeast. (Registration will not be available at the Hall Aquatic Center as it is still under construction.) Click here to view the Swim Lesson Schedule and Infomation

Cove Point Crocs Swim Team

This program is designed to teach basic competitive swimming skills, build self-esteem and improve strokes. It’s a great way to meet new friends, keep kids active and introduce them to a swim team program. Practices are weekdays with the schedule to be determined by the swim coach and will be posted on our website in May. Children will learn the four competitive swimming strokes and compete in meets. Team swim suits and other gear to be purchased separately. Children must be able to swim at least one length of the pool without assistance in order to participate.

Competitions require numerous parent volunteers in order to function. Be prepared assist!

Cost: $130.00 for the first child in the family, $115.00 for the second child in the family, $105.00 for each additional child in the family.

Cove Point team competes in the Southern Maryland Swim League with meets in Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties. Competitions are Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June and July. Practices are weekday mornings.

Advanced reservations required for ALL groups. Contact the Aquatic Supervisor at 410-535-1600, ext. 2673. Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. are designated as Open/Group Swim nights. During these hours the pool is open for general admission, pass/coupon holders and groups with 25-320 persons may attend at the special group rate. Regular rates apply at other times or if no reservation is made.

25-100 people             $5.00 adults     $3.00 children**

201-350 people           $3.00 adults     $2.00 children**

From Route 4, turn east onto Cove Point Road (497). Continue on Cove Point Road straight through traffic light at HG Truman Road for about .5 miles. Turn left into Cove Point Park and follow park road. Pool will be on your left.
