This seasonal facility includes a 6 lane pool with a half-meter diving board and a double slide.

The pool will open to the public daily beginning Saturday, May 29, 2010 through
Monday, September 6, 2010.

Passes will go on sale starting May 10, 2010, at the main office of the Division of Parks and Recreation at 205 Main Street in Prince Frederick, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m  Passes will be available at the Hall Aquatic Center once it opens.

• Seniors (60+)            $1.75                 

**Children 12 years of age and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 years of
age or older.

Passes will be available for adults, seniors/children and households of up to five people at the following rates:

Summer Pass–Valid from Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Monday.

Punch Passes - Valid for 10 admissions for the price of 8. Experies Labor Day Monday.

**Children 12 years of age and younger require supervision by a responsible person 16 years of
age or older.

As usual, with the start of school we are modifying the operating hours for Kings Landing Pool thru Labor Day. The changes will be posted at each pool.

Beginning today:

KLP-Monday thru Friday closed

         Saturdays, Sundays, Labor Day open 12 p.m. -7:45 p.m.

Program information and online registration can be accessed by clicking on the "Programs & Online Registration" link at the top left corner.  It is recommended that you create a household account in advance as described on the online registration page by calling the Main Office. 

Kings Landing Pool will be host to CCPR programs and activities such as American Red Cross group and private Learn To Swim classes for children and adults and the Kings Landing swim team.

Swim Lesson Registration begins Saturday, April 24th at 9am at the following community centers and online; Southern, Mt. Hope and Northeast. (Registration will not be available at the Hall Aquatic Center as it is still under construction.)

Kings Landing Swim Team

This program is designed to teach basic competitive swimming skills, build self-esteem and improve strokes. It’s a great way to meet new friends, keep kids active and introduce them to a swim team program. Practices are weekdays with the schedule to be determined by the swim coach and will be posted on our website in May. Children will learn the four competitive swimming strokes and compete in meets. Team swim suits and other gear to be purchased separately. Children must be able to swim at least one length of the pool without assistance in order to participate.

Competitions require numerous parent volunteers in order to function. Be prepared assist!

Cost: $130.00 for the first child in the family, $115.00 for the second child in the family, $105.00 for each additional child in the family.

Kings Landing team competes in the Prince-Mont Swim League with meets in Calvert, Charles, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties. Competitions are Saturday mornings in June and July. Practices are weekday evenings.

Swim Team Try-Outs & Informational Meeting for Parents/Guardians

An information meeting will be held at the Hall Aquatic Center on Wednesday May 19 at 7:00 p.m. for the Cove Point Swim Team and Thursday May 20 at 7:00 p.m. for the Kings Landing Swim Team. This meeting is to provide parents/guardians the opportunity to meet the coaching staff, ask questions, make suggestions and receive general information. Team suits will be available for purchase at this meeting.

From Route 4 South, turn west/right onto Old Town Road (524). In approximately .2 miles , turn west/right onto Hunting Creek Road (521) for about 1 mile. Hunting Creek Road becomes Huntington Road. Turn slight left onto Kings Landing Road and travel about 2.4 miles through the park. Make slight left at fork in road at Community Center. Facility will be on the right.

From Route 4 North, turn west/left onto Old Town Road (524) at traffic light. In approximately .2 miles , turn west/left onto Hunting Creek Road (521) for about 1 mile. Hunting Creek Road becomes Huntington Road. Turn slight left onto Kings Landing Road and travel about 2.4 miles through the park. Make slight left at fork in road at Community Center. Facility will be on the right.
