Philosophy
The philosophy of the Calvert Count Division of Parks and Recreation Sports Office is to provide the youth of Calvert County an organized program that will allow the participants to compete and learn the basic fundamentals of the various sports. The objectives shall include the development of positive social values and character traits; good citizenship and physical and mental health. The CCPR Sports Office goal is to instill the will to win and the courage to accept defeat or disappointment with emphasis on exercise, fair play fun and good sportsmanship.
General Information
The Sports Office sponsors and co-sponsors a variety of sports activities for youth and adult participants. Youth programs sponsored by the CCPR Sports Office include Fall Soccer, Flag and Tackle Football, Cheerleading, Basketball, Wrestling, Summer Sports Camps,
Tennis and Golf Lessons.
Adult Programs sponsored by the Sports Office include 18 & 40 and Over Basketball, Co-Rec Softball and the
Calvert County Employees and Friends Annual Golf Tournament held at Chesapeake Hills Golf Club, check our Spring brochure for date and time.
