Visitation Policies
Visiting Security:
Visitor Rules
- All visitors must register with the visiting officer.
- You must have a positive photograph identification.
- Visitor's names must be on an inmates visitation list.
- Visitors under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult unless the visitor provides a marriage license as proof of a marriage license as proof of marital relationship to the inmate visited.
- All visitors are subject to search while in the Detention Center.
- All visitors must be appropriately dressed, bikinis, halter tops and short shorts or other inappropriate attire is not permitted.
- No books, magazines, newspapers, hygiene products, food items or cigarettes will be accepted.
- Inmate property is not released during visitation hours. Inmates must submit a request to release property.
- Property is released only during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
- Handbags, purses, briefcases or other bags are not allowed in the visiting area. It is recommended that visitors leave all personal belongings in their vehicle while in the Detention Center. The Detention Center is not responsible for any article lost, stolen or damaged during visitation.
- Monies may be deposited in the KIOSK machine located in the facilities lobby. The KIOSK accepts cash and credit cards. The machine will not dispense change.
- Inmates are allowed four visitors per visit. Each inmate is allotted 30 minutes visitation Saturday and Sunday.
- Eating, drinking and smoking by the general public is prohibited in all areas of the building unless expressly permitted by signs
- Bringing drugs or alcoholic beverages into the Detention Center is strictly prohibited.
- Animals, other than guide dogs, may not be brought into the Detention Center by the general public.
- Excessive noise or activity determined by staff to inconvenience others is not permitted.
- All furnishings of the Detention Center or Personal property of anyone using the Detention Center must be respected at all times.
- Loitering is strictly prohibited. Those found to be in the Detention Center for reasons other than to conduct legitimate business will be asked to leave.
- Visitors or staff will not be harassed by threatening or abusive language. Those engaging in such activity will be asked to leave. Disruptive behavior is not tolerated.
- No cameras, video equipment or tape recorders will be allowed in the Detention Center unless prior authorization has been given by the Administration.
- Any violation of the rules will be cause for dismissal from the Calvert County Detention Center. 22. Visiting is on a first-come-first-serve-basis.

Saturday I Block 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
J Block 1:45 - 2:15 p.m.
K Block 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
L Block 3:15 - 3:45 p.m. (PC/Special Needs inmates only)
L Block 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. (DOC inmates only)
Medium Security:
Sunday G Block 1:45 - 2:15 p.m.
H Block 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
E Block 3:15 - 3:45 p.m.
F Block 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Minimum Security:
Sunday A Dorm 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Sunday C & D 7:15 - 7:45 p.m.
Sunday B Dorm 8:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Booking/Medical Holding:
Saturday 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
