Sunday, 12 - 7 p.m. (NOTE: Bagged household trash, paper and comingle only is accepted on Sunday; no furniture, metal, appliances, tires, wood or yard waste)
Division Overview
The Division of Solid Waste monitors the operation of the Appeal Landfill, Appeal Transfer Station, seven convenience center locations, recycling activities, a bulk pick-up program and environmental monitoring for the Appeal and Barstow Landfills. The division is also responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations.

Providing all customers with efficient, cost effective, reliable and safe management of Calvert County's solid waste and recycling activities.
** Notice of Solid Waste Disposal Fee Adjustment **
The following new rates are effective July 1, 2011:
All out-of-county and commercial customers: $72.52 per ton
Calvert County residents chargeable loads: $65.27 per ton
