On Camera Talent Breakdown
APPEAL DOWELL (18+ to play early 20s, female, any ethnicity) an 11th generation farmer’s daughter and passionate recycling advocate. Appeal’s family farm was partially acquired by Calvert County Government back in the 1970s and redeveloped into a much-needed solid waste and recycling center for the county. Growing up on a farm next to a community landfill inspired a deep passion and advocacy for land use management and recycling. (Audition Sides)
PROSECUTOR (50s, male or female, any ethnicity) an over the top lawyer who values profit over thoughtful land management. (Audition Sides)
DEFENSE ATTORNEY (30-40s, male, any ethnicity) an honest yet painfully anxious attorney just trying to do the right thing. (Audition Sides)
JUDGE (60s, female, any ethnicity) a morally sound local judge close to retirement still fighting for truth and justice. (Audition Sides)
COSTUME DESIGNER capable of creating 2D concept art and bringing a hero prop to life. The hero prop will be steampunk inspired eye glasses made from common recyclable materials.
As the cost and need to recycle continues to soar, a local advocate, APPEAL DOWELL, interrupts a trial in progress to share how impactful reducing, reusing and recycling is on a local level.
